The Human Mind Tends
to Think Too Much
Your body and mind were designed to live in a world filled with natural stimuli, but… we were born into a world filled with information. The result? A mind that thinks too much, in an environment that constantly stimulates more thinking.
This combination is behind many problems — affecting our health, relationships, finances, and so many other areas of life.
Fortunately, there is a way to turn the game around: learning to make your mind work for you, developing greater focus, inner peace, and emotional stability.
But There Is a Solution
We know that the brain changes when it is consistently exposed to activities designed for a specific type of learning. This process is known as neuroplasticity.
When you study or learn to ride a bicycle, for example, your brain changes to acquire that new ability. If you practice only occasionally, you may experience a temporary result — what neuroscience calls a state. When you practice correctly and consistently, that state can develop into a more permanent condition — what we call a trait.
Both modern neuroscience and ancient Eastern traditions agree that making your mind function with greater presence, while reducing unnecessary and unhelpful thinking, is a trait that can be developed.
The Praezens Method
The Praezens method is a sequence of 84 days of mental practices, with each practice lasting no more than 20 minutes. The practices can be classified as meditations and have been carefully organized into 12 blocks of 7 days, with each block focusing on a specific area or function of the brain.
By the end of the 84 days of practice, 12 specific areas or functions of the brain will have received neuroplasticity-based stimulation, helping you develop the ability to live with greater presence.
Unlike anything you may have seen before, our goal is not simply to provide moments of calm through an endless habit of daily meditation, but to develop, through the intelligent sequencing of specific practices, a new pattern in which your mind naturally functions with greater presence.

How It Works
The Praezens Method can be practiced in a personalized format through online sessions with me, or independently.
In the personalized program, you will have 12 60-minute online sessions with me, one session per week, throughout the 84-day journey.
These weekly sessions provide personalized information, guidance, and support, helping you understand the process, clarify questions, track your progress, and make the most of the daily practices.
You can also follow the Praezens program independently through the TameYourMind app, which provides access to the daily practices and complementary content through the eBook or Video Book Tame Your Mind.

About Me
I am a clinical psychologist, a specialist in Neuroscience, and the creator of the Praezens Method — an approach to human development designed to help people cultivate a more present, stable, and conscious mind. For more than two decades, I have explored the human mind through psychology, neuroscience, mindfulness, meditation, and human development. My work is guided by a simple question: How can we learn to relate to our own minds more skillfully and, in doing so, live more fully in the present?
More than teaching meditation techniques, I help people understand how their minds work and develop a more conscious relationship with their thoughts, emotions, sensations, and the present moment.
Today, I work virtually with people from different parts of the world, combining clinical psychology, education, and contemplative practices with the Praezens Method to take this knowledge beyond the therapy room.
Background & Experience
I earned my degree in Psychology from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) and completed postgraduate studies in Neuroscience at UFRJ. I am also a yoga instructor and a teacher in yoga instructor training programs.
Since 2018, I have worked in the professional development of teachers in the public school system of the State of Rio de Janeiro through classes, courses, lectures, and workshops. In São Paulo, I delivered a mindfulness masterclass to more than 220,000 students.
As a speaker and educator, I have developed programs for Brazilian companies and international organizations in the United States, France, and Argentina.
I have also organized and participated in events exploring the relationship between mindfulness and Neuroscience alongside researchers such as Dr. Sara Lazar, PhD, Director of the Neuroscience Laboratory at Harvard, and Dr. Tiago Arruda Sanchez, PhD, Director of the Neuroscience Laboratory at UFRJ. I also participated as a speaker in an International Seminar alongside Dr. Sara Lazar.
